Meeting Point & Traveling
There are meeting points all ove Skye depending on where you are staying on the isle and pursuit chosen. A what3words location aid is sent to you prior to the days event.
Clients can follow Skye Ghillie to the activity location in their own vehicle, or be transferred in the Land Rover (up to 6 persons) no vehicle fees are charged for transportation. However, if additional transport is required i.e. collection of guests from outside the Portree meeting place, travelling time will be incorporated into the set time parameter of the activity and costs will be incurred for traveling time and not hire.
Bring your own child car or booster seats if required.
Weather
The ghillie will decide if the weather conditions determine that to commence an activity would be dangerous, in this instance, the fee, less the deposit, will be refunded. We will firstly to try and reschedule activities. We advise that you take out travel insurance to cover these costs.
For whatever reason (including inclement weather), should clients decide to cancel within 48 hours no refund will be due.
Clothing & kit
It is strongly recommended that suitable clothing is worn (or carried). Skye Ghillie reserves the right to cancel an event without notice or refund should a client not be appropriately dressed. As a minimum, guests should dress for all four seasons in one day, layers, good waterproofs and sturdy lace-up walking boots.
